Carambola are one of the few school meals companies that is Guaranteed Irish, sourcing produce locally, where possible, in Ireland.

We have been awarded Distinctions in Food Safety Assurance by an Irish Awards Board – the Food Safety Professionals Association of Ireland – five years in a row. This award is issued in conjunction with the Food Safety Association of Ireland (FSAI).

We were the school meals company recently chosen to work with the Department on the Hot School Meals Project by way of a Proof of Concept trialling the programme in Our Lady of Lourdes School in Inchicore Dublin. We have since gone on to provide hot food to one third of the schools selected to participate in the Pilot Project 2019.2020 which has been a resounding success all around. This programme has now been extended to 35,000 more Primary School children around the country.
